SPRING 2005

We are looking for people all around the state to hold house parties. If you would like to entertain some folks and have us in to talk or do some speakers training, please let us know.

As VFMTF gears up for the push for full equality, our needs are limitless. In particular, we desperately need:

  • committed volunteers willing to organize and educate in their own communities

  • volunteers willing to do data entry

  • creative people to help with brochures, graphics, banners, and other designs

  • volunteers to staff our booth at various county fairs around the state this summer

  • volunteers to coordinate county fairs around the state

  • people to reach out to communities of faith and civic associations in local communities

  • volunteers with experience or interest in video production to work on VFMTF's new video/DVD

Also: please write or call Senators Jeffords and Leahy, and Representative Sanders, to thank them for opposing President Bush's proposed constitutional amendment.

For more information about the federal constitutional amendment, you can visit HRC's "Marriage Center" at www.hrc.org.

If you live out of state:

1. If you have friends or family in Vermont, please encourage them to get involved

2. We welcome your contributions.

3. We encourage everyone across this country to work hard and steadily to promote gay and lesbian equality, and equality for all families, within their own communities. Ultimately, every community in this country will engage on this issue. And it will be wonderful to come to a collective realization that supporting all families is best for everyone.
