Because marriage is a basic human right and an individual choice

PROUD OF VERMONT!
Montpelier, VT, April 25, 2001

Hundreds turned out to celebrate the one-year anniversary
of the signing of the Civil Union bill into law.

A NEW way to support our work!
We can now accept online contributions.

Click here to make a tax-deductible donation. Thank you!

We have reason to be proud of Vermont's wonderful traditions and people. The success of our effort is due to every single Vermonter who offered to call, write or meet with their legislators, write a letter to the editor, attend informational hearings, and talk to others. Please remember- we need to continue those conversations with a questioning friend, neighbor, coworker and family member.Talking to others is the best way to bring understanding as to why this law is an important step in recognizing equal rights for Vermonters. Our legislators also like hearing from us. Please take the time to thank our supporters. Check out this letter from a representative.
